Cisco’s WebEx is the grandaddy of web conferencing. You can tell the sofware is highly evolved, and its rare to find bugs in the product. But with development the software has also become bloated and can be intimidating for new users.

    An old player, still relevant

    THE GOOD:

Many features and good support for WebEx's audio and video conferencing facilities

    THE BAD:

    Overly complicated for the beginner

    THE BOTTOM LINE:

A well evolved product that will support your needs, and offers reasonable pricing for small meetings, but could be easier to use.

    REVIEW:

WebEx Meeting center is a smooth service that allows you to host meetings in your browser, sharing applications and other standard features such as an interactive whiteboard and web cam supports. But there are some limitations too, you can view up to four cameras at once, and whilst VoIP is free, teleconferencing will cost you extra per user per minute. WebEx also has scheduling integration with Outlook and Yahoo Messenger.

The primary factor of audio and video quality will be your connection, though I found some image stuttering on a connection with low latency and high bandwidth.

The audio is full duplex, so you can both talk and hear participants at the same time. WebEx is a well known and supported program. There are also apps for iPhones and Android.
